The Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) is initiating a call for project nominations for its 2024 Comprehensive Investment Plan (2024 CIP). The CIP is Alameda CTC’s near-term strategic planning and programming document through which fund sources administered by Alameda CTC are programmed through a consolidated process to maximize investments towards critical transportation infrastructure and operations needs. The 2024 CIP fund estimate includes $150.8 million in funding anticipated for fiscal years 2023-24 through 2027-28 (with some TFCA available for FY 2022-23). The Fund Estimate includes $82.8M of federal OBAG 3 funding along with the following Alameda CTC-administered funding sources:
Measure B: Bike and Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary, Express Bus and Transit Center Development Programs,
Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF): Bike and Pedestrian Safety and Transit for Congestion Relief Programs, and
Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA): FYs 2022-23 and 2023-24 County Program Manager Fund.
The 2024 CIP application deadline is Thursday, June 30, 2022. Alameda CTC’s recommendations for the OBAG 3 and FY 2022-23 TFCA sources will be considered by the Commission in September 2022. MTC’s OBAG 3 programming decision is scheduled for January 2023 and Alameda CTC approval of the other local sources available through the 2024 CIP (MB, MBB, VRF and FY 2023-24 TFCA) will be considered spring 2023.
